Many people often call animal shelters or veterinarian offices
when they notice cats roaming freely in their neighborhoods for quite some
time. However, sometimes cats that you may see around the neighborhood could be
someone’s outdoor pet cat.
Here are a couple of tips to follow if you happen to find a
stray cat, courtesy of mercurynews.com!
- Before taking the cat to any shelter/vets office, check with your neighbors to see if the cat belongs to them or anyone they may know
- If not, make a couple of posters that include a photo of the cat with a description of where you had last seen it and your contact information
- Post fliers and posters around town to get the word out
