Changes to Come at National Aquarium!

The National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland is planning to open a $12.5 million coral reef exhibit in summer 2013! This is the aquariums first step in revitalizing the Inner Harbors aquarium.  

The current “Wings in the Water” exhibit is going to be turned into what the aquarium is calling Blacktip Reef to replica something like the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It will be home to tons of different species of animals, including over a dozen sharks!

This is going to be a huge renovation project at the aquarium! This is the first major capital improvement to the National Aquarium since the opening of their $74.6 million Animal Planet Australia exhibit that opened in 2005.
