Several states are trying to put a ban on the practice of
those pet lovers who like to drive with their pets sitting on their laps! Many
believe that pets can easily interfere with the driver’s ability to drive and
focus on the road, which can turn into a terrible accident, even fatalities.
Recently a bill was vetoed in California called the AB 2233.
The bill would’ve fined motorists $35 for sharing the driver seat with their pets.
Even though this isn’t technically considered a crime, it isn’t something that
the California Highway Patrol approves.
Several individuals feel that driving with a pet on your lap
is just as dangerous as texting and driving, talking on the phone while
driving, eating, or trying to put on makeup.
