A recent New York Times column discussed how it is not
uncommon for those people living in Miami, to have parrots as pets.
Parrots are
seen more and more commonly throughout Miami in general and as pets! If you like
your house quiet, a parrot certainly isn’t the pet for you!
Parrots aren’t the quietest of pets, nor a quiet bird in general. They
are social creatures who actually want to converse and have a conversation with
you! If you're looking for a companion, then a parrot just might be who you've been searching for!
Parrots don’t usually have the “songbird” voice; they are loud and hoarse,
which is not always a welcoming sound.
