The Miami-Dade Animal Services and The Cat Network Inc. are teaming up with the Humane Society of Greater Miami to hold their first ever ASPCA Mega Match-A-Thon. This is a 24 hour marathon where hundreds of deserving animals will be available for adoption!
The marathon will take place TODAY- Friday, March 30th at 11:59 pm to Saturday, March 31st at 11:59 pm at Tropical Park, located at 7900 Bird Road. Miami-Dade is one of the 55 communities that have received grant funding to participate in this nationwide event.
The American Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has granted almost $500,000 to support large-scale adoption events like this marathon. All of the Mega Match-A-Thons occurring throughout the country will all take place on the same day.
The mission of ASPCA is to get the community closer together and to spread awareness of the large population of homeless pets. The mission of this event is to get all of these pets a home!
